Our Story...
Southern Regional Medical Center was established in 1971 to provide high quality medical care to the residents of Clayton County and surrounding communities. Southern Regional is a not-for-profit, community-based healthcare provider and began growing into a health system in the early 1990s.
Conveniently located in Riverdale, GA, just 15 miles south of Atlanta, Southern Regional Health System (SRHS) is the largest full-service provider of healthcare services south of I-20. SRHS' 331-bed facility serves a 7-county area in the metro-Atlanta region, with a population of about one million. SRHS has the second largest Women's Center and one of the top 10 busiest Emergency Departments in the state of Georgia. SRHS recognizes that family is what matters most.
